Chuck Van Horn is founder, majority owner and majority investor in North Town Partners. Chuck has built a diverse portfolio of real estate properties over his career. These include many auto dealerships, retail, office, manufacturing, residential and multi-family apartments.
Prior to North Town Partners, Chuck owned Van Horn Automotive of Wisconsin until he sold it to his employees in 2021. North Town Partners looks to buy and develop revenue-producing properties that will outperform the market and provide favorable tax advantages to the partners. We create long-term wealth by acquiring appreciating properties, but, more importantly, finding opportunities to keep more of what you make.
Chuck lives on a hobby farm with his wife Trina and daughter Halle in Fredonia, Wisconsin.
Chris Merklein is a Principal in North Town Partners. He joined the Van Horn Automotive Real Estate team in 2017 as Director of Real Estate Development. Chris’ primary role is to work closely with municipalities in structuring our projects and development agreements.
Prior to joining North Town Partners, Chris held leadership roles in Design/Build Construction, Renewable Energy, and Manufacturing businesses. Chris is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Wisconsin. His diverse background provides our team with a different perspective on our development projects.
When Chris isn’t working, he’s usually with his family hunting, fishing, or coaching ice hockey.
Charmayne Barrington-Anderson is our Controller and joined North Town Partners in 2020. In her role, Charmayne is responsible for accounting-related activities: month-end closing, payroll, managerial accounting, finance activities within the company and all financial reporting to upper management, owners, and investors.
Prior to joining the team, Charmayne held various accounting positions in other construction / industrial and automotive companies, including Van Horn Automotive Group, K/P Welding and The Commonwealth Companies.
In her spare time Charmayne enjoys volunteering in the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, crafting, trap shooting and spending time with her husband and three sons.
